B.Ed (2-Year) Regular Course

B.Ed. (2-Year) Course under Semester system (100 seats - 2 Units) : Admission is done through a combined entrance test conducted by the State University (Punjab/Punjabi/Guru Nanak Dev University) during the month of July every year. The score obtained in the test is the criterion of merit. 15 percent of the seats are filled on All India basis and the 85 percent seats from the State pool. Reservation policy of the State is followed as per rules.

For Academic Session 2018-20 Panjab University, Chandigarh will conduct Common Entrance Test (C.E.T.)  for admission to B.Ed. Course in the Colleges of Education of Punjab. Admission to B.Ed. Course (2017-18) in the colleges shall be made on the basis of the relative merit of the candidates in the Entrance Test, subject to the availability of seats in a particular subject combination and reservations as prescribed in the Rules of Punjab Government.

B.Ed course is of 2 Years having 4 Semesters. Classes begin from the last week of August and will continue till the end of November. First semester exams will be held in the month of December. Classes for 2nd semester will start from January and would continue till April. The examination of 2nd Semester will be held in the month of May/June. Same pattern would be followed for 3rd and 4th Semester.

There will be Autumn (October) and Winter (December)breaks as notified by the Punjabi University, Patiala.

Fee Concession and Scholarships

Students belonging to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe category are given exemption from admission fee and tuition fee. Besides free education, various scholarships schemes are also there for (intelligent) poor and needy students.

Eligibility Certificate

All the students who have done their graduation/post-graduation from University other than Punjabi University are required to produce Eligibility Certificate from the Registration branch of Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of admission.

Candidates who have not completed their form but have paid their requisite fee, can complete their form by paying late fee of Rs. 500/-

Candidates have to visit Computer Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh for this purpose.

Interested candidates who have not registered or have not paid the requisite fee, can fill fresh form by paying late fee of Rs. 1500/-, along with application form fee as prescribed on the website.
