B.Ed. (2-Year) Course (150 Seats) : Admission is done through a combined entrance test conducted by the State University (Punjab/Punjabi/Guru Nanak Dev University) during the month of July every year. The score obtained in the test is the criterion of merit. 15 percent of the seats are filled on All India basis and the 85 percent seats from the State pool. Reservation policy of the State is followed as per rules.
B.Ed. course is of 2 Years having 4 Semesters. Classes begin from the last week of August and will continue till the end of November. First semester exams will be held in the month of December. Classes for 2nd semester will start from January and would continue till April. The examination of 2nd Semester will be held in the month of May/June. Same pattern would be followed for 3rd and 4th Semester.
There will be Winter (December) break as notified by the Punjabi University, Patiala.
Fee Concession and Scholarships
Students belonging to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe category are given exemption from admission fee and tuition fee. Besides free education, various scholarships schemes are also there for (intelligent) poor and needy students.
Eligibility Certificate
All the students who have done their graduation/post-graduation from University other than Punjabi University are required to produce Eligibility Certificate from the Registration branch of Punjabi University, Patiala at the time of admission.
